Library Information Literacy Program

Information literacy is a set of abilities requiring individuals to recognize when information is needed and when they have the ability to locate, evaluate and use necessary information effectively. It is a feature of recent innovations in education and a vital aspect of a modern library. The main purpose is to acquaint students and faculty members with the information sources, resources and techniques to retrieve the resources. Moreover, information literacy is also getting increasingly important in the contemporary environment of rapid technological change and the proliferation of information resources.
